The document layer of the modern internet.
Mezdoc is a small, founder-led team rebuilding the PDF and workflow pipeline insurance, fintech and ops teams kept hand-rolling at every job. One template engine, one workflow engine, one audit trail, across India and the US.
Why we are building this.
Every engineering team I worked with had the same pattern. A PDF that started as a one-off render became a templating layer, then a workflow, then a signing flow, then an audit log. By the time it was production-grade, six months had gone past and the team had reinvented Anvil with worse error handling.
We are building Mezdoc so the next team does not have to. Structured templates for fixed PDFs, dynamic templates for the documents that change shape, and workflows that compose them with version pins and an audit trail. The condition language is the same in all three places. The audit log is the same in all three places. The version pinning is the same in all three places.
We picked insurance and fintech in India and the US as our wedge because those are the teams that feel this pain first. Aadhaar eSign and IRDAI claim forms in India. ACORD packs and premium financing in the US. Same plumbing underneath.
What we believe.
Documents are infrastructure.
PDFs are not an output, they are a flow. Mezdoc treats them as first-class infra you can version, test, and monitor.
Audit-grade by default.
Every action is logged. Every render is reproducible. Every signed PDF has a tamper-evident trail, on every plan and not just Enterprise.
Local and global, by design.
Aadhaar eSign for India. ESIGN Act and UETA for the US. Per-region storage. We solve for both markets, not translate one to the other.
No coordinate hell.
Drag a rectangle. Pick a type. Done. If our UI feels like Adobe Acrobat from 2010, we did something wrong.
Developer experience is product.
Idempotency keys, signed webhooks, an open Postman collection, real docs. Integrating Mezdoc should feel the way integrating Stripe feels.
Honest by default.
We are early. We will tell you what works today, what lands next quarter, and what is on the roadmap. No vapor in the marketing copy.
Built for India and the US, in parallel.
The product is built for customers in both markets at the same time, with locally compliant storage, billing, and eSign in each. Same engineering team, same release cycle, no second-class region.
Customers, ESIGN Act and UETA, Virginia storage, SOC 2 audit reports on request.
Customers, Aadhaar eSign, Mumbai storage, INR billing with GST invoices.
Documents are the next API surface.
Every business produces documents. Almost none of them treat documents like product. We think the next decade of paperwork runs through a templating layer with versioning, signing, and audit baked in. Mezdoc is the bet that this layer is worth building once, properly, for India and the US together.
