fillable pdfs

Keep the form. Drop the retyping.

Upload the PDF you already send, including the ACORD forms you're licensed to use. Mezdoc reads its form fields or you draw them, and every render fills the same spots. The insured's name stays the same on page one and page nine.

What a template knows about your form.

A template is your PDF plus four kinds of knowledge. Each one is set once, in the editor, and used on every render.
  1. 1

    Fields found for you

Detect fields reads the PDF's own form fields, with their names and positions. On a flat PDF it finds the ruled boxes. You can always draw a field by hand.

  2. 2

    A type on every field

27 types, each with its own checks: dates in a range, lengths, currency, and SSN or EIN formats.

  3. 3

    Linked across pages

Give two fields the same key and they fill from one value, so the insured's name cannot drift between the certificate and the endorsement.

  4. 4

    Rules and math

Show or hide a field with simple rules or an expression. Calculated fields add up totals and premiums when the PDF renders.

27 field types, each with its own checks.

Formatting and validation come with the type. US identifiers like SSN and EIN are built in.

More rows than fit? The page repeats itself.

Bind a field to a list, like a policy schedule or invoice lines. When the data outgrows the page, Mezdoc repeats it for you. No second template, no truncated tables.

The template is one fixed page. The array overflowed, so Mezdoc added the pages. You did not.

Test it, publish it, keep every version.

New editions arrive every few years. Map the new one next to the live version, render a test PDF, then publish.

  3. v3

New edition mapped, test PDF rendered

  • Test renders from the editor are free.
  • Every submission records the version it was made with.
  • Restore an earlier version whenever you need it.
  • A link can follow the live version or stay pinned to one.

Three ways to fill it.

The same template, whoever holds the data.

The API. Send the data you already hold and get the PDF back.

Fill a template, get the PDF
curl -X POST https://api.mezdoc.com/api/v1/templates/acord_25/render \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_live_..." \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{ "data": { "insured_name": "Harbor Point LLC" } }'
# 200 OK, application/pdf

Questions we get from ops teams.

Will it match our form exactly?

Yes. Mezdoc fills your original PDF rather than rebuilding it, so the layout, the form number and the edition date stay exactly as they are. Values are placed where you drew the fields, on every render.

What about scanned forms?

Upload the scan and place fields on it the same way. The output is your scanned page with the values typed into the fields you drew.

Do we need a developer?

No. Build the template in the editor and send it as a link. The API is there when your engineers want it.

What happens when a new edition of a form comes out?

Upload the new edition, map the fields, test it and publish. Links and API calls that follow the environment use the new version from then on, links pinned to a version stay on it, and every past submission keeps the version it was made with.
