Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Last updated 22 May 2026 · Version 1.0

This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for paid Mezdoc subscriptions. It applies to all customers, billed in USD or INR, and forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Cancel anytime

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing billing@mezdoc.com. Cancellation stops all future billing. There is no cancellation fee and no lock-in. You keep access to your paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for; the plan then drops to Free or closes.

2. 7-day money-back on your first payment

If you are not satisfied, you can request a full refund of your first subscription payment within 7 days of that payment. This applies once per customer, to the first paid invoice on a new subscription (monthly or annual). Email billing@mezdoc.com from your account email within the 7-day window and we will process the refund.

3. After the 7-day window

Outside the first-payment window, subscription fees are non-refundable. When you cancel, you simply stop future renewals; we do not refund the unused part of a billing period that is already in progress. Renewal charges (the monthly or annual payments after your first) are non-refundable. Cancel before a renewal date to avoid the next charge.

4. Usage overage

Metered overage (PDFs or workflow runs above your plan's included quota) is billed for usage that already happened and is non-refundable. We notify you at 80% and 100% of your quota so overage is never a surprise. See the pricing page for per-unit rates.

5. Annual plans and downgrades

Annual plans are covered by the same 7-day money-back window on the first payment. After that, an annual term is non-refundable for the unused months, but you can cancel to stop the next annual renewal. Downgrades to a lower tier take effect at the end of the current billing cycle and are not refunded for the difference.

6. Duplicate or erroneous charges

If you are charged in error (for example a duplicate charge, or billing after a confirmed cancellation), we refund it in full. Email billing@mezdoc.com with the invoice or payment reference and we will correct it.

7. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through our payment processor (Razorpay for INR and international cards). Refunds are normally initiated within 3 business days of approval; your bank or card issuer may take a further 5 to 10 business days to post the credit. Refunds are made in the original currency of the charge.

8. Data after cancellation

After cancellation we retain your organization's data for 90 days so you can reactivate, then permanently delete it. You can request earlier export or deletion at any time per our Privacy Policy.
